I feel privileged to be able to donate 6 of our Fight Club Replica Soaps & 1 Abstract Wings soap to a fund raiser to benefit the Binghamton Humane Society.  All proceeds from the event will benefit The Humane Society by helping to offset the costs of investigating animal cruelty and abuse while providing shelter and care to the many animals in need within Broome County, NY.

New Scents

Many customers, family & friends have been requesting we sell a coconut scent. With the summer steadily upon us, we thought it was only appropriate. We decided on Coconut Lime Verbena, which is comparable to the bath & body works scent of the same name.  We also added 2 more scents comparable to bath & body works: Warm Vanilla Sugar and Black Raspberry Vanilla.  Warm Vanilla Sugar will be replacing Vanilla Bean Supreme. The last is a rich Chocolate Devil's Food Cake.  We also updated our Blueberry Cobbler scent with a comparable scent that now can be used & our lotions & washes.

Black Raspberry Vanilla Type [Comparable to Bath & Body Works] (Purple) - Inspired by vine-ripened berries drenched in vanilla cream, this scent is a luscious blend of blackberry, bergamot, Anjou pear with vanilla orchid and taffeta musk.

Chocolate Devil Food Cake (Carmel) - Smells just like that first bite into a moist slice of fresh baked devil's food cake covered in chocolate frosting.

Coconut Lime Verbena Type [Comparable to Bath & Body Works] (White) - Inspired by an island breeze of luscious fruits and crisp citrus, blended with zesty lime and kumquat peel with mandarin, muguet and sheer coconut water

Clean The World - Soaps Donation for Haiti

We all know of the terrible tragedy that struck the nation of Haiti on January 12th of 2010. When my 9 year old nephew Dominick heard about what happened, he was upset & asked me what he can do to help them. That is when we decided to make soaps to send to Haiti. 
     That weekend I had my nephew sleep over my house, and bright & early in the morning he woke me up ready to make soaps! Below I included some pictures of our day making soaps for Haiti. Our next project we would like to donate soap to our soldiers. Friends & family are all pitching in to help make soap for our American troops.

We made a total of 5-1/2 pounds of soap!!

The soaps will get to Haiti by Clean The World. Clean the World is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that collects used soap and shampoo from US hotels and soap makers. The much-needed soap is then donated to countries where poor sanitary conditions kill. Right now, donations are badly needed for the recent earthquake in Haiti.

CleanTheWorld.org estimates that each year 5 million lives are lost due to conditions like diarrhea-related infection. Of course, children are the ones most susceptible to these preventable diseases. A little hand washing goes a long way!

Clean the World was started by traveling business executive Shawn Seipler. He was sitting in his hotel room one night wondering what happened to all those bars of hotel soap that just get used once or twice.Together with friend Paul Till, Seipler developed a video and poster instructing hotel cleaning staff how to identify and store the gently-used soap and shampoo bottles. Once collected, the soap bars are shaved and steamed to ensure they are bacteria free. Then they are sent overseas.

The soaps do not need to be labeled (ingredients, type of soap, etc), and they can be homemade, from a hotel, melt-and-pour soap, or shampoo. Please include a brief note with your contact information explaining that you've donated soap and whether you'd like a receipt for your taxes.

Glow in the Dark Soaps are here!!!

After a lot of hard work researching & testing we now offer glow-in-the-dark soap.

We use a high quality phosphorescent pigment in our products.  The glow pigment used in our soap is non-toxic, non-radioactive, & environmentally safe. Our glow pigment is made from an alkaline earth aluminate known as strontium aluminate. Strontium aluminate is vastly superior than it's predecessor, copper-activeated zink sulfide. It's glow is about 10 times brighter & lasts about 10 times longer than zink sulfide.

Our new glow products have been thoroughly tested on family & friends and all have shown no signs of skin irritation. The kids just love them.

Here are some new scents that we have added to our collection.

Cool Water has also been a popular request by both our male and female customers. This scent smells true to Davidoff Cool Water. Blend of Marine, Green, Mint, Cedarwood and Musk.

Eucalyptus & Spearmint has a blend of Eucalyptus, Sage, Spearmint, Lavender. This fragrance can be  compared  to Bath & Body Works Eucalyptus & Spearmint. 

Cherry Blossom smells exactly like Cotton Blossom flowers.  This fragrance can be compared to Bath & Body Works Cherry Blossom.

Happy for Women  has a blend of Citrus, Rose, Musk, and Lilac. This fragrance can be compared to Cliniques Happy Perfume for Women.

New Package Arrived!

I received a package of new soap molds, 2 new colors, & 2 new scents.

The new scents are:
Over The Hill and Drakkar Noir for Men Type. 

Over The Hill is the perfect scent for any "over the hill" gift. Contains pepper, cardamom, rosewood, sandalwood, vetiver, tonka bean and Amber. The scent is much more pleasant than I expected, yet still reminds me of what I would expect an "over the hill" scent to be.  We will be selling our skull soap scented with this scent as a useable "over the hill" novelty soap on our ecrater store.

Drakkar has been a popular request and we will now be including it to our ever-growing line of scents. This scent is true replica of the Drakkar Noir Cologne for men & goes great with any of our products.

The 2 new colors are "Santa Red" & Black.  Black will be Gray in opaque (white) soap. Below are pictures of the colors in Clear/Opaque soaps.

I am working on an ecrater site where I will be selling handcrafted soap, lotion, body spray, and other custom bath & body products. I will be selling custom gift baskets, and favors for all occasions. I will be posting a blog with a listing of scents available along with a description of the scents. Please be patient as the site is still "under construction". I will be changing out the temporary photo's with actual photo's of the items & constantly listing more items.
My ecrater store can be viewed at www.bearbody.ecrater.com. It will take some time & a lot of work but it is well worth the transition away from eBay & there ever increasing fees which will allow me to sell my items on ecrater at a lower price.
